"What you see is not always what it really is."

Ruud Kootker

Personal introduction

Getting enthusiastic when problems occur in companies and institutions, especially when they involve cooperation between people – does that sound crazy, or not quite? It just depends on how you look at it. To me, the glass is always half full instead of half empty. Looking at possibilities, searching for solutions and opportunities and then going for them. Putting the stakeholders’ interest first.
Always motivated to the utmost to provide interim leadership, to tackle a crisis together and to solve problems. Ensuring that the company or institution can continue and your successor can reap the benefits of your contribution. Developing and giving perspective: that is what it really is about for me.

My background?

More than 20 years of interim management in the profit and not for profit sectors; from business services and family businesses to professional associations and non-profit foundations. I built up my management experience at the former Amro Bank. Searched and found entrepreneurship at outplacement pioneer Consultative Bureau Claessens. Then became managing director at DAS Rechtsbijstand (insurance/legal industry) and joined the board of Cap Gemini Nederland (ict industry).

My expertise?

Originally, general management in the broadest sense of the word. Temporary management, reorganization management and crisis management were part of my core business. Since the turn of the century I transformed from interim manager to (conflict) mediator. More and more I focused on (conflict) mediation for stakeholders, using my skills as a mediator.
